Alum wins Jeopardy!
A friend of mine who loves all things trivia e-mailed me this morning to say that 1998 Baylor alum Geoff Moore was yesterday’s winner on Jeopardy! (On this page, you can see Moore’s encouragement to watch the show.)
During his chat with host Alex Trebek, Moore — a 1998 graduate — talked about his time in Chamber helping train the live bear mascots. Moore, now a screenwriter in Los Angeles, took a lead into the show’s last round and had good fortune when it came to the Final Jeopardy category: “Actor-Directors.” Moore answered (questioned?) correctly for the win, and thus gets to play again on today’s show (check your local listings).
This isn’t the first Baylor/gameshow connection; you might remember back to last fall, when “What is Baylor University?” was the answer/question to a Jeopardy puzzle and a current student won nearly $30,000 on Wheel of Fortune.
Sic ’em, Geoff!
[Update: He won again Tuesday but lost on Wednesday. Still, a nice run, netting Moore over $56,000!]
