• Freshman named one of ABC’s Persons of the Year

Kristin ElliottYou might remember our stories this spring about Kristin Elliott, at the time a high school senior preparing to enroll at Baylor. Kristin was named ABC World News Tonight’s Person of the Week back in May after the network learned of her battle with cancer and her work to start an AIDS orphans house in Zambia.

ABC recently updated Kristin’s story, naming her one of its Persons of the Year. The story notes that Kristin, now a freshman at Baylor, has been cancer-free for a year and has raised over $200,000 for the orphanage. (It’s also worth noting again that Kristin’s Miracle House is part of Tree of Life Children’s Village, which is coordinated by a non-profit group called Family Legacy Missions International, which was founded by 1986 Baylor alum Greer Kendall. Small world!)

Sic ’em, Kristin and all who have helped with this project!
