• Match-up of top quarterbacks the centerpiece of Homecoming Weekend

Robert GriffinThere are plenty of reasons to head back to Waco this weekend for Homecoming: to see the best from Sing at Pigskin Revue, to gather around the bonfire with friends, to take the little ones to the Homecoming Parade, and of course, to watch Baylor football battle 14th-ranked Missouri.

Saturday at 2 p.m., Floyd Casey Stadium will host two of the Big 12’s top quarterbacks — the young freshman Robert Griffin for the Bears, and the senior Heisman Trophy candidate Chase Daniel for the Tigers. Daniel is among the top five in the nation in passing yards and QB rating, while Griffin has yet to throw an interception this year and ranks sixth nationally among QBs in rushing yards per game.

It will be a real treat to see these two guys go head to head, and tickets are still available. This game will not be televised, so the mid-afternoon start time is perfect for fans who might drive in from around the state in the morning, enjoy the game, and head home later Saturday night. Or if you’re looking to take in more of the Homecoming Weekend experience, hop in the car now and spend the night in Waco. Come on out, then visit the Baylor Proud blog next week for photos from all the weekend’s big events.

Sic ’em, Baylor grads coming home!
